Parts Rock n’ Roll, Psychedelia, and Americana – Denver band Other Worlds formed in early 2014 as an experiment; a collaboration by five longtime members of the Colorado music community with a shared desire to take a new musical direction. The group began life affectionately referred to as “Secret Band," a moniker given to the band as a cover while the vision for the project was established. As their catalog of songs began to grow and an identity based on song craft began to establish itself, a band was born.
Now, after two years in a communal writing process, their debut album Weather Patterns will be released in May 2016. The bulk of the album was recorded during a weeklong blizzard, high in the Rockies, at beautiful Evergroove Studio in Evergreen. The 9-track effort was then finished and mixed by bassist/engineer Logan Muckler in his Denver studio, Emerson Recordings, and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer, David Glasser, at Airshow Mastering. The result is a modern-minded yet vintage sounding rock record that makes a statement in the burgeoning Denver music scene and beyond.
